Beware – Utility Scam!
Some customers have reported receiving a phone call from a company, advising them that their electricity or water services will be disconnected for non-payment. The scammer then tells the customer to purchase a prepaid debit card to pay the bill. While the Department of Water and Power may make courtesy calls, we never require you to pay in this manner. If you receive this type of phone call, hang up and call our Customer Care group at (951) 736-2321 to verify your account status. Please report these calls to the Corona Police Department at (951) 736-2334.

Cpaint bucket & brushaution — Wet Paint!
The City of Corona Department of Water and Power has hired Tony’s Painting to paint fire hydrants, above ground piping and valves, and reclaimed water facilities. This preventative maintenance helps prevent rust, keeps our equipment looking clean, and helps us extend the life of the equipment to save money. You may notice Tony’s Painting in your neighborhood painting these devices; all of their vehicles have magnets stating they are a contractor of the City of Corona, and their employees wear a reflective safety vest and hard hat with “Tony’s Painting” labeled on it.
Questions about this project? Call us at (951) 736-2234.
